Conversational Hypnosis

We often wonder what it would be like to get into the mind of the other person. It would be great to know what exactly he thinks, what he is going to do next and what his views on any given topic are. It would be great to know whether the hot girl next door likes you or whether the boss likes your presentation. If getting to know the minds of people is so interesting, it would be even better if you could influence their minds, right? Well, do not look so surprised. Influencing people’s minds is an art that has been practiced since ages, and is only getting prominent as the days go by.

We can often hear that hypnosis is ineffective and not trustworthy. This impression is created in the mind of people due to the impact of traditional methods for hypnosis. Traditional hypnosis methods are direct and authoritarian. The hypnotist directly tries to induce a trance in the subject and tries to control him. Most people feel uncomfortable to be subjected under others control. This creates a sense of unwillingness and resistance in the subject. If the subject is unwilling then the hypnotist will fail to control him leading to the failure of the whole process.

Post hypnosis instructions are used to take advantage from response of the subject to a stimulus. This is actually called classical conditioning by which stimulus responses are utilized to perform covert hypnosis.

The characteristics of stimulus response can be classified basically into three

1.Stimulus response triggers happens at anytime.

2.Stimulus response triggers can be setup and initiated secretly.

3.The conscious mind will be unaware of stimulus response links.

You might have often faced problems with your boss who is always after you and criticizing whatever you are doing. He may not be having even the patience to look into your explanations or discomforts. It will be difficult for you to hold back for a long time and will always be tempted to react. But if you are reacting in the same way as he is behaving will not give you any benefit but will also affect you harmfully in the future. Can you imagine the possibility of bringing him under your control without his knowledge? That is the power of covert hypnosis.

The thoughts of a human being is directed and processed by the sensory channels that one possesses. We have the ability to see, hear, smell and taste. This information is transferred to the brain through sensory channels. This information is identified and processed by our sense of imagination. We have the image of this information in our brain and can visualize it in our mind without using these sense organs.

Preparation for Conversation

You can find persuasion in varying form everywhere. The minister will persuade you to the church, the politicians want you to join his party or vote for him or a sales man wants to sell his products. All are trying to influence to get some benefit for them.

The boss of your company may want you to support his ideas, coworkers may want you to support them, and friends will need you to accompany them, advertisers will try to sell their products. The reason for persuasion only change but the intention is same. The person you creates more influence wins.

The definition of hypnosis in the dictionary is “a sleep like state” or “to be in a state that resembles sleep”. But people who are practicing hypnosis will strongly stand against this definition. Hypnotists fell that it is just the opposite to the state of sleep. Some feel that a person under hypnosis will be more alert and conscious and some others say that it is neither a state of full consciousness or full unconsciousness. But according to covert model, hypnosis cannot be defined since such a state does not exist.

The social existence of a person depends largely on his ability to interact with others. Often situation will rise for a person to get the support from others. If someone is not willing to oblige you may have to look for other sources. You will have to persuade a person to satisfy your needs. You can easily persuade a person if you are physically or financially stronger than the other. But the better way is to use your skills and knowledge successfully to bring others under your command.
